Our role

Ashfold was appointed by ValidusLM to provide Project Management services for the sixth form addition.

Project details

The Twickenham Academy is a new school in Richmond, London, developed by Astudio Architects as part of the Partnerships for Schools programme. Accommodation for Years 8 to 12 is provided through a mixture of spaces – open plan and enclosed seminar and group rooms – all surrounding a central courtyard. Spaces were designed to be adaptable, with future flexibility in mind.

The sixth form centre – an addition to the competed design – was created in order to provide sixth form study on site. This was incorporated by enclosing the central courtyard at the third floor, thus creating a separate space. The project reached completion, having been cancelled after the tender period was completed.
