Programming and planning
Programming and planning is a core skill of any project manager working in construction.
At Ashfold we prepare detailed project programmes as a core part of our full project management service. However, in some instances we are commissioned to provide programming and planning as a stand-alone role.
Our programmes can be easily read in conjunction with cost plans by the project quantity surveyor or contractor. We use our programme plans to explain to clients how we anticipate a process being defined and delivered. We use them as communication tools, a means of setting a timetable on projects, a means of reporting progress on projects and a means of predicting future activities.
Over the course of a project our programmes show the purchase, design, planning and build periods and are designed to be used by all members of the delivery team to agree scope and fees.
