Windlesham House School Pool and Sports Hall

Our role

Ashfold were retained as the client’s project manager and contract administrator. Windlesham House School had not delivered a substantial new building in 30 years, so Ashfold’s role was to provide essential advice and strategic direction to the client team which consisted of the Chair of Governors, the Chair of the Finance committee, the Bursar and the Estates Bursar.

Project details

This new 25m, six lane swimming pool and four court sports centre has been sensitively designed to complement the historic Windlesham House School estate and nestles into the South Downs landscape. The new facilities replace an existing swimming pool that was over 80 years old and had gone past its serviceable life.

Opened in Spring 2018 by former Olympic swimmer Mark Foster, the new pool and hall is already proving very popular with pupils, their families and staff.
