Our role

Martin Long was the project director for this project while at First Base. He was responsible for overseeing the direction of the project including budget, land acquisition and appointments. The role also included the development of concept designs and submission for planning.

Project details

This project was to provide the headquarters for one of the UK’s largest housing associations, L&Q (formerly known as East Thames).

Designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, the new building provides contemporary open plan workspace over five floors. Along with a marketing suite, meeting rooms and larger conference rooms. Socialisation is encouraged through smaller breakout spaces, a café and an informal  garden terrace.

Martin also worked closely with the Unitarians Metropolitan Community Church to relocate and rebuild their church.
