Our role

Ashfold came to the Sloane Street project with the specific brief to ensure the work is carried out efficiently and to the client’s timescale. We worked closely with the architects, our client and quantity surveyor and appointed a contractor with the relevant expertise.

Project details

Cadogan Estate oversaw the installation of a new service lift for a designer clothes company in their Sloane Street store which occupies the ground, first and second floors of a Grade II listed building. The lift is installed from the ground floor retail unit up through to the second floor where the client is installing a private space for client fittings and events. The office space is currently let to three tenants, none of whom expected to be disturbed by the works taking place below.

The internal alterations to the listed building required great attention to detail in consultation with structural engineers. The works were also carried out when the building was unoccupied during evenings and weekends, which required coordination with Cadogan Estate to gain site access and acoustic engineers to ensure that noise did not disturb active retail outlets below.
