Our role

While working with Arup, Martin Long was the Design Manager for this project. He was based in Istanbul for the project and was responsible for integrating the engineering disciplines that had been designed in London by Arup and McAslan into design packages compatible with the local Turkish design architect and contractor.

Project details

Located 50km from Istanbul, this former greenfield site became the operations centre for Yapi Kredi Bank, one of Turkey’s largest private banks.

Ten modular courtyard buildings were linked across the steeply sloping site, providing office space, training areas and conference rooms for around 2,500 staff. Fabric-covered ‘streets’ connect the buildings, with garden-like planting and informal break out spaces for socialisation.
