Our role

Ashfold have overseen this extensive redevelopment that replaces garages with a contemporary new build. We were responsible for ensuring the project ran to time while negotiating a tight budget.

We appointed the construction contractor and managed the relocation of a number of utility companies, and also ensured the busy site remained clean and safe.

Project details

Garages at a period property in the West Wimbledon Conservation Area were demolished and replaced with this new, contemporary structure.

A new two bedroom flat, designed by Hale Brown, now sits atop nine new garages, all clad in vertical timber boards. A green roof will enable the new structure to blend into the its residential surroundings while also encouraging biodiversity.

This project forms part of broader designs that will see the conversion of an adjacent period property into flats.
