Ashfold 2018 project review
Towards the end of the year we completed our first project management commission for the Cadogan Estate. 192 Sloane Street was a challenging project to incorporate a lift shaft in a listed building to suit the needs of the key tenant, Louis Vuitton. We also completed our second commission with Colliers International. This project was a construction management plan for a large speculative office development which was submitted for planning this month.
Another first for Ashfold, last year we were commissioned by Argent to assist in project management of works to accommodate changes to the Kings Cross T1 building energy centre.
2018 also saw the conclusion of Ashfold’s role as part of the Capital Group overseeing the highly successful reopening of Battersea Arts Centre’s Grand Hall. Read the Architect’s Journal study of Haworth Tompkins beautiful and sensitive restoration here.
Looking forward, our monitoring role at Anna Freud Centre is concluding and Wilmott Dixon are currently on site. The Grosvenor Court new build residential project in Wimbledon designed by Hale Brown/Pringeur James has made a good start on site with a new contractor for us, Finch Lockerbie. We look forward to sharing photos of both completed buildings later this year.
